Job description
Schedule: An average of 23 hours of teaching per week, Tuesday to Saturday. During the week the lessons are mainly in the afternoon and evenings and during the day on Saturdays. In addition to the teaching hours, there is academic admin such as lesson planning and end of term tests and reports, as well as approximately two hours a week of professional development. Students: Many of our students are young learners, so the timetable will mainly consist of learners aged 12 – 18, many of whom are high level (B2 – C1). There could be some adult classes as well. Online Materials: We have the access to the online materials for each textbook as well as additional online resources. Support: The school provides comprehensive academic support and professional development, tailored to the teachers’ needs and interests as much as possible. There are regular workshops, observations, informal discussions, and individual mentoring if required. A happy teacher usually means happy students, so creating a supportive and inclusive environment is a priority for us. We are also looking for a teacher to come and work in Riga for face to face classes.

Holiday: There are up to 24 days paid holidays for a 9 month contract. The school is closed for approximately two weeks over Christmas and New Year and on some Latvian public holidays throughout the year
