The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly professional DELTA-qualified (or equivalent) Senior Teacher to join our dynamic international team.
In this role, you will split your time between delivering high-impact lessons and supporting our academic management team. You will play a key role in maintaining our high standards of teaching, mentoring junior teachers, and helping to drive our academic program forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Exemplary Teaching: Deliver motivating, high-quality general and exam-preparation English classes (Cambridge YLE, KET, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, and IELTS) to students of all ages and levels.
- Academic Leadership: Assist the Director of Studies (DoS) with course planning, syllabus design, and the selection of supplementary teaching materials.
- Teacher Mentorship: Support CELTA-qualified and early-career teachers through peer observations, sharing of best practices, and collaborative planning.
- Examiner Duties: (If qualified) Conduct mock speaking exams and help prepare students thoroughly for official Cambridge assessments.
- School Events & CPD: Contribute to or lead internal Continuous Professional Development (CPD) workshops and participate in school cultural events.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications:
- Cambridge DELTA (or Trinity DipTESOL) is required.
- CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL (as the foundational qualification).
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of post-CELTA teaching experience.
- Proven experience preparing students for Cambridge Exams.
- Experience teaching Young Learners (YL) and Teens is highly desirable.
Key Attributes:
- You must have full mastery of English across all 4 skills to CEFR C2/IELTS band 8.
- EU Citizenship or a valid Italian working visa/Permesso di Soggiorno is highly preferred.
- High energy, adaptability, and a genuine passion for teacher development and student success.
- Basic knowledge of Italian is a plus, but not required.
