IH Hamburg is looking for ambitious Spanish teachers who can teach Spanish online on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. We are looking for motivated teachers who would like to work with our students on a long-term basis (at least one year or longer).

The job in a nutshell:
- Tuesdays 16.40 - 17.50 and 18.20 - 19.30 (CET)
OR:
- Thursdays 16.40 - 17.50 and 18.20 - 19.30 (CET)
- Duration: 70 minutes per course
- Level of tuition: A1 and B2
- 21-27 euros per lesson (depending on your experience)
- Freelance contract; start date: 1st November resp 10th November, 2022
- Continuous courses, breaks during the Hamburg school holidays
- Opportunity to participate in our online language and computer classes free of charge

Our school is a language club with a highly motivated team of teachers. Students attend classes once a week, they also enjoy the social aspects of learning. Our school is a place to meet people and learn from and with each other.

This position is perfect for you if you have a basic teaching qualification (at least CELTA, IHC or similar) and enjoy the social aspect of teaching. A basic knowledge of German would be an advantage but not a prerequisite.

IH Hamburg sucht motivierte Spanischlehrer(innen), die Dienstag und Donnerstag nachmittags online Spanisch unterrichten können. Wir suchen motivierte Lehrer(innen), die gerne langfristig (mindestens ein Jahr oder länger) mit unseren Schülern arbeiten möchten.

Die Aufgabe in Kürze:
• Dienstags 16.40 – 17.50 und 18.20 – 19.30 Uhr (MEZ)
ODER:
• Donnerstags 16.40 – 17.50 und 18.20 – 19.30 Uhr (MEZ)

• Dauer: jeweils 70 Minuten pro Kurs
• Niveau des Unterrichts: A1 und B2
• 21-27 Euro pro Unterrichtsstunde (abhängig von Ihrer Erfahrung)
• Freiberuflicher Vertrag; Beginn: 1. November bzw. 3. November 2022
• Fortlaufende Kurse, Pausen in den Hamburger Schulferien
• Möglichkeit zur kostenlosen Teilnahme an unseren online stattfindenden Sprach- und Computerkursen

Unsere Schule ist ein Sprachclub mit einem hochmotivierten Team von Lehrern. Die Schüler besuchen einmal pro Woche den Unterricht und genießen auch die sozialen Aspekte des Lernens. Unsere Schule ist ein Ort, an dem man Menschen kennenlernt und von- und miteinander lernt.

Diese Stelle ist genau das Richtige für Sie, wenn Sie über eine grundlegende Lehrbefähigung (mindestens CELTA, IHC oder ähnlich) verfügen und den sozialen Aspekt des Unterrichtens mögen. Grundkenntnisse der deutschen Sprache sind von Vorteil, aber keine Voraussetzung.

About the school and city

We are the biggest privately founded institute for language and computer classes for adult learners in Hamburg. Our head office is situated by the Stadtpark in Winterhude. It features well-equipped classrooms and a lounge with a terrace as well as a sun porch. Additionally, we hold language classes in five other parts of Hamburg. Our dedicated office staff are always willing to help you with administrative matters and other problems concerning your courses. Furthermore, we support the further development of the competences of our teachers by offering them various possibilities to extend their knowledge and skills. The Verein für berufliche Weiterbildung e.V. in Hamburg has been in existence since 1998. As a non-profit organisation, it offers language and computer courses to adults. As of now, its range of languages comprises eight foreign languages, although most of the language courses are still English courses.

We offer language and computer courses in the mornings, afternoons and evenings. Our clients can also take part in our additional free time and edutainment programme consisting of events in different languages, film performances, excursions, visits to the English Theatre etc. Our aim is that our clients do not only feel at ease with their language classes but also within our premises.
