We’re recruiting moderators to work for the IHWO Assessment UnitThe IHWO Assessment Unit moderates the IHWO suite of courses which are delivered both online by the IHWO Online Teacher Training Institute and face to face in IH schools. Courses certified by the IHWO Assessment Unit are subject to a moderation process. We are seeking skilled and experienced language trainers to complete this important work.
Moderators are required to write a report based on a sample of portfolios from each course to ensure that the course requirements and assessment criteria are met, and the support given is appropriate. Courses are allocated to moderators depending on their knowledge and experience i.e. a moderator with no VYL experience would not be asked to moderate the IH VYL course. The ability to work flexibly and meet tight deadlines – we require courses to be moderated within a 2–3 week period.
Attention to detail.
Hold a higher level teaching qualification.
Specialisation/significant experience in an EFL area e.g. VYL, YL, Business English, Academic Management.
DesirableHave experience of course delivery/knowledge of the IHWO suite of courses.
Experience of delivering or moderating external exams in a language school.
Fluency in German, Spanish, French, Italian or Arabic.
