International House Tallinn is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced teacher to join our dedicated team for the period of 09.01 –12.05.2023 (extendable). At least two years’ post-CELTA teaching experience is necessary, and it would be desirable to have some experience of teaching groups online. We work with students of all ages (adults, young learners from age 7 upwards), so we are looking for a teacher who is able to teach a variety of levels and ages. Currently there are 7.5 hours (1 hour = 60 mins) of teaching per week on offer for this position (the number of hours may increase depending on availability). Lessons take place Monday to Friday; weekends are free. The majority of classes are hybrid classes (a combination of online and face-to-face classes).

International House Tallinn offers General English group classes, preparation for FCE, CAE, CPE and IELTS, individual classes and specialised business courses. All timetables include a mix of ages and levels. Lesson planning and admin duties are part of the job and teachers are expected to attend to those responsibilities diligently. About the school and city

About the School

IH Tallinn was set up in 1993. Since 2000 Katrin Langa has been the school director. Her claim to fame is that she is (so far) the only she is the only Estonian to have the Cambridge DELTA. Katrin has also taught English in Cairo, Krakow and Vilnius – so she brings a wealth of international exerience to the school.

The team of teachers includes English and Americans, as well as local members of staff.

The school offers English courses for adults and young learners and also preparation courses for different international English exams.
