About British School IH Pisa
British School International House Pisa was founded in 1978 by Robin Routledge, driven by his passion for education and his love of Italy. Over more than four decades, the school has become a point of reference in Tuscany, helping thousands of local residents and international students broaden their opportunities through language learning. The school joined the International House World Organisation network in April 2025.
Today, British School IH Pisa operates from two physical locations — Pisa (Via Rigattieri 33/37) and Pontedera — as well as an online school. It is a Cambridge English Platinum Exam Centre, having administered over 3,000 certified examinations in a single academic year. The school collaborates actively with universities, businesses, public institutions and state schools across Tuscany.

The school has a Teacher Training tab on the IH World website and offers teacher training programmes including CELTA and professional development courses.
