The IH Cairo DELTA Module 1 Preparation Course is tailored for educators with CELTA or in-service experience. This intensive programme enhances English language teaching expertise through a focus on the key areas required to pass the Cambridge DELTA Module 1 exam.
Course Structure
- 90 hours total — 60 hours of live instruction + 30 hours of practice and feedback
- Face-to-face instruction — the only centre in Egypt offering in-person DELTA Module 1 tuition
- Exam-aligned input — sessions directly linked to exam practice
- Written exam preparation — two 90-minute papers, with regular practice sessions and mock exams
- Weekly assignments with individualised feedback based on Cambridge criteria

Entry Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English Language
- Minimum three years of teaching experience
- Proficiency in PC applications (MS Office, internet)
Pre-Course Preparation
Candidates are advised to review grammar terminology using Grammar for English Language Teachers by Martin Parrott or The Teacher’s Grammar of English by Ron Cowan, and to read The Practice of English Language Teaching by Jeremy Harmer and the Cambridge DELTA Trainee’s Handbook.
