About the teacher training centre

The IH Online Teacher Training Institute (OTTI) is the teacher training wing of International House World Organisation. We provide online professional development courses for EFL teachers around the world. We have courses for every stage of a teacher’s career, from soon after your initial qualification to DELTA level and management courses.
Learning online gives you the flexibility to set your own study hours and save money on travel and accommodation.
On our courses you can ‘attend’ whenever (and wherever!) is convenient for you. You don't usually have to attend a live chat or webinar at a specific time, although sometimes there are live "meetups" so you have the chance to chat with your tutor and other classmates.
To help you there is ongoing support from your tutors in online forums and through individual feedback - and you'll probably find your other course participants are really helpful as well. You are definitely not studying alone, and this tutor and peer support is what our trainees say they like most about our courses.
IH Certificate in Advanced Methodology
If you’re a teacher with at least one year’s experience and you want to improve your theoretical knowledge of teaching, this course is for you.
Many teachers with experience say the IH CAM feels like a natural next step in their career, particularly if they have a view to complete the DELTA or other Diploma qualification in teaching one day. The course is a good way for teachers to develop themselves professionally and personally, and to deepen their knowledge in certain areas of teaching theory.
There are fifteen modules including theories of language learning and teaching, skills and systems, error correction and recent approaches. One module is covered each week, meaning there are fifteen weeks of tutor led input on this course. After this you will have two weeks to complete and submit your portfolio of work ready for assessment.
The course is moderated by Cambridge Assessment English, which means that your final certificate will carry the IHWO Assessment Unit and Cambridge Assessment English logos.

The IH CAM with OTTI
You should take this course with OTTI because it is completely unique to International House and was designed by experts specifically to meet the needs of teachers looking to take their teaching to the next level.
International House has been at the forefront of developing innovative courses for teachers for many years. We first developed the IH CAM to bridge the gap between CELTA and DELTA and over the years many teachers have found taking it has been critical in preparing them for the DELTA. However, it is also a very valuable qualification in its own right and has extra recognition as it is moderated by Cambridge Assessment English so your certificate will also include their logo.
Discounts
For those currently working in an International House school there is a staff discount making the fee £533.
There is a loyalty discount of 10% applicable if you have completed a course with IH OTTI in the last 12 months.
VAT
For both businesses and individuals located in the UK we have to add 20% VAT. This means the fee is £752.40, or £639.60 if you are IH staff.
If you are not based in the UK, you won't be charged this.
