Job Description

We are looking for a qualified teacher of English as a Foreign Language. You'll teach a variety of learners, from younger students to adults, and including both groups and individual learners. We teach all levels, from absolute beginners to those preparing for Cambridge exams. Your timetable will include up to 22 hours of contact time per week, with work from Mondays to Fridays. Most of our lessons take place in the afternoon and evening, though teachers should expect some morning lessons - though we aim to avoid split shifts wherever possible.

We use the communicative teaching method, and encourage our teachers to bring as much fun and warmth into the classroom as possible.

Accommodation: The school will assist in finding accommodation

Holiday: The Polish calendar is littered with days off and short breaks, including Christmas, Winter Break, and Easter.

About the school and city

Bielsko-Biala is the sort of city that goes relatively unnoticed in the tourist trade - it's fairly small, and it doesn't have the sort of showstopper brilliance of Krakow, Warsaw, or Torun. But what it does have is small-town charm, and a lot of cafes! Add to that the beautiful mountains - perfect for hiking, mountain biking, and skiing - and you have the recipe for a wonderful year (or more!) in our company. The local football team isn't very good, but that means the tickets are cheap; we have an annual jazz festival that is easier to define than jazz itself (definition: a success!); and if you fancy setting off beyond the city limits, you'll find a huge number of attractions less than ninety minutes away. English is quite widely spoken in the city, but if you're coming to Poland to see - and hear - something of Poland itself, you couldn't choose much better than Bielsko-Biala.
