Job Description 

British School International House Taranto is looking for full-time teacher for the academic year 2025/2026

We are looking for qualified and experienced teachers to teach children, teenagers and adults at all levels. Our courses take place on
our own school premises and off-site in state schools and companies.

Familiarity with Cambridge English exams is essential. Experience as a Cambridge speaking examiner would be an advantage, but the
school provides training for teachers who have more than two years’ experience.

Experience or interest in teaching CLIL, Biology or Physics in English to high school students an advantage.

Purpose of the Role
To deliver high-quality English language teaching in accordance with the standards and methodology of International
House World Organisation (IHWO) and The British School – IH Taranto.

Teachers are expected to foster a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment that promotes student
progress, autonomy, and cultural awareness.

Main Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning

  • Plan and deliver lessons in line with IH methodology and the CEFR framework.
  • Use a communicative, student-centred approach and a variety of teaching techniques.
  • Prepare appropriate lesson plans and materials to meet the needs of different age groups and proficiency
    levels.
  • Assess students’ progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, homework, and assessments.
  • Integrate digital tools and online platforms (e.g., Google Classroom, Zoom, IH Online) where applicable.
  • Follow all regulations reported in the Staff Handbook provided annually by the DoS
