Job Description
🧑🏫THE POSITION🧑🏫
The position involves teaching general English and exam preparation classes for higher-level students who are often working towards the Cambridge B2, C1 or C2 exams.
The role-holder will be required to work a maximum of 24 contact (in-class) hours per week, with an additional 3 hours on average per week dedicated to training, development and admin. As an EFL teacher (teens and adults), you will plan and deliver effective and engaging English lessons to the students of the school. As some of the lessons will also be held in local state schools, this is an excellent opportunity for anyone who may want to gain experience in mainstream education too.
Although this position is starting ASAP, we offer a permanent contract, where you would be working between the months of September and June each year.
As some of the teaching involves external (off-site) courses, this role does require a certain amount of flexibility and cultural sensitivity, so empathy, kindness, and the ability to deal with changes and diversity in a positive manner are all essential for this role. Where offsite courses are not within reasonable walking distance of the school, teachers are accompanied from, and back to, school by car. Travelling time is counted as working hours.
