Job Description:
International House London is currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic Spanish teachers to join our growing Foreign Languages team. The role primarily involves teaching adults on our evening face-to-face courses at our school in Covent Garden. Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Spanish language lessons to adult learners.
- Create engaging and effective lesson materials and activities.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere in the classroom.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of courses and maintain consistent teaching standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities.
Essential
- Proficient Spanish speaker
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Initial teaching qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
- Must have the right to work in the UK and be currently based in the UK.
Desirable
- Possess a CLTA, CELTA, Trinity TESOL, DELTA, DELE
- QTS
- Hold a degree in Spanish Language and Literature or a degree in Modern Languages (English, Italian, German, etc.)
- Masters in ELE
- Experience in teaching in-company and one-to-one courses
Working Hours:
This is a part-time position. Most lessons are the evening from 18.30 -20.30, once a week. We also have some classes in the afternoons, Friday evenings and Sunday mornings.
