Shaun Wilden
- Shaun is Academic Head Training & Development at IH World, and is Manager of the IH Online Teacher Training Institute.
- He tutors on the IH Certificate in Online Tutoring course.
- He has more than 30 years of experience in ELT, holds an MA in technology and education, and teaches digital literacy and online course design at the University of Oxford.
- He is a trustee of IATEFL and makes the TEFL commute podcast for teachers.
- Outside of work, Shaun is something of a boardgame geek.
Adam Bejsovec
- Adam tutors on many different courses, including CELTA, DELTA, and Young Learner courses.
- He has worked in ELT since 1998 as a teacher, teacher trainer and academic manager.
- He strongly believes in CPD, individual approach and localisation of teaching and training.
- When he’s not teaching, he loves cooking, bowling, Turkish & Scandinavian literature and an occasional movie, run and swim.
Amanda McLoughlin
- Amanda has worked in ELT for more than 20 years as a teacher, trainer and materials writer.

Andriy Ruzhynskiy
- Andriy has been a teacher since 1984, and a teacher trainer since 2002.
- He runs teacher training courses in approx. 15 countries around the globe, from Canada to New Zealand.
- He considers his job to be a real blessing, as it gives him the chance to meet fantastic professional people all over the world.
- When he’s not training teachers, Andriy sings in a Ukrainian folk group.
Chloé Pakeman-Schiavone
- Chloé is director of studies at IH Pescara.
- She tutors on the IH Director of Studies course.
- She has been working in ELT since 2006, starting in a summer school and working her way up to DoS.
- She is a Cambridge examiner at all levels.
- She also taught in state secondary schools: first in the EAL department of a secondary school in the UK, which informed her approach to inclusive practices and work on motivation; and she currently teaches maths in English in Italian secondary as part of the Cambridge iGCSE programme.
- She has written a course on CLIL which is approved by the Italian Ministry for Education and enjoys working with schools to develop CLIL programmes.
- In her “free” time, she is a very busy mum of two who enjoys a good ELT conference.
Choreanne Frei
- Choreanne has been working in ELT as a teacher, trainer, academic manager, training manager and workshop presenter in different contexts since taking her CELTA in 1998.
- She has gained many additional ELT qualifications since then.
- Choreanne particularly enjoys in-company teaching with a focus on Business English, ESP, coaching business skills and teaching exam classes.
- As a trainer, she enjoys observing trainees and helping them access their potential to become confident teachers in different settings.
- Choreanne is hardly ever seen without a book, a Rubik’s cube, her mobile phone, and a cup of tea.
Christopher Walker
- Chris is the Director of Studies at IH Bielsko-Biala, and also the Editor of the IH Journal.
- He tutors on a variety of courses, including CAM, CLIL, and the IELTS courses.
- He has over 15 years of experience in EFL and holds an MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL from the University of Leicester.
- He is passionate about teacher development and teaching grammar, and has spoken on both topics at a number of conferences.
- In his free time, Chris enjoys literature - both reading and writing. He has even self-published a few books of stories.
Elena Malinovskaya
- Elena tutors on CELTA, IHCYLT face-to-face and IHCYLT Online and teaches various groups of learners around the world.
- She has been working in ELT since 2005 as a teacher, academic manager and a teacher trainer.
- She is one of the authors of national coursebooks of English in Belarus designed for primary and secondary school as well as pre-school.
- Outside ELT world, she loves exploring bits and pieces of neuropsychology, learning about birds and re-reading ‘Harry Potter’.
Emma Cresswell
- Emma has been tutoring on the IH COLT course since 2014, and also teaches on the IH OCYLT.
- She is a freelance teacher, teacher trainer and CELTA trainer and has worked in the UK, Argentina, Spain and Portugal.
- She regularly presents at ELT conferences, both face-to-face and online, and is continually intrigued by the developments in online teaching and learning.
- When not online, Emma's interests involve photography, cookery and a good book!
Emma Gowing
- Emma is a teacher, teacher trainer and academic manager based in Madrid.
- She is currently Academic Director and Teacher Development Manager for a large academy in Madrid and has previously worked as a teacher, teacher trainer, and director of studies at IH Buenos Aires and IH Madrid.
- She is also a CELTA tutor and has taught a number of pre-service and in-service teacher training courses for primary and secondary teachers as well as tutoring on the IH OTTI Diploma for Academic Management.
- She has presented at a number of conferences including the IH AMT and also written an article for the IH Journal.
- She currently has a keen interest in teacher well-being and ethical management.
Fari Greenway
- Fari Greenway is the Academic Director at IH Academia Británica Córdoba and Huelva, where she coordinates a team of Academic Managers supporting teachers and students.
- She has spoken at various national and regional teaching conferences and has been published in English teaching journals as well as writing teacher's books and workbooks.
- She studied English and linguistics at university and went on to complete the DELTA before starting work with IH Córdoba in Spain where she has lived with her husband and son for over 13 years.
- She is a firm believer in lifelong learning which is why she took part in a number of OTTI courses herself before becoming a tutor.
- When she’s not working, she enjoys organising, baking and ceramics.
Francesca Key
- Cesca is a teacher/trainer based in Prague. She has been teaching for the past eighteen years and has worked at IH Opole, Poland and IH Akcent Prague.
- She now works in a bilingual kindergarten/primary school and tutors on the IH VYL.
- She also occasionally does freelance training for kindergarten and primary school teachers in the Czech Republic.
- Cesca has a degree in Philosophy and completed her CELTA, IHCYL, IHVYL, DELTA and IHCOLT with International House.
- She loves children’s literature and likes to hike, cycle and do puzzles in her spare time.
Giovanni Licata
- Giovanni has been an ELT teacher for 15 years, teaching all age groups and levels.
- He has worked in Europe, Asia and the US, training pre-service and in-service EFL/ESL teachers.
- Over the years, he has developed an interest in sociolinguistics and the use of authentic text in the classroom.
- His dream is to open an Italian style wine bar in California and serve top-quality wine and bruschetta.
Graham Coffey

- He also teaches EAP for universities and as a teacher trainer for the British Council on various projects.
- He spent many years working as a senior project manager and is an accredited counter-fraud investigations manager.

Jayne Mullholland
- Jayne’s teaching career started with taking the CELTA at IH Cairo in 1987. After completing her DELTA, trained on CELTA courses in IH Barcelona, Madrid, New York City and London and most recently in UAE, establishing Initial Teacher Training and CLIL Courses for the Ministry of Education.
- She has an M.Ed. and PGCE in ESOL and Literacy and works mainly in the UK FE sector.
- In 2019, she completed the IH COLT course and has since been an online tutor for the Intro to CLIL and CAM as well as online CELT-S and EAP courses.
- When she isn’t at work, she enjoys being outside and planning for new adventures.
Kate Knight
- Kate is a DELTA-qualified teacher and teacher trainer who has worked in ELT for 14 years.
- She tutors for OTTI, including the IH OCYLT and IH VYL courses.
- Before becoming a freelance trainer, she worked in a language school in Italy for 13 years as an academic manager, trainer and teacher, teaching predominantly children and teenagers.
Krupa Raguram
- Krupa has been in the English Language Teaching field for over 17 years.
- She has extensive experience of teaching general English, business communication skills, spoken English, IELTS exam preparation, young learner, train the trainer courses and summer schools.
- After an initial PRESETT at British Council, she went on to study CELT YL and DELTA. While working as the academic coordinator, she completed the Certificate in Academic Management course.
- In addition to teaching and leadership roles, she has focused on developing her niche area of expertise which is ‘teacher training and development’.
- She has presented at international and local ELT conferences, written blogs on ELT and published articles in teacher education magazines.
- She is volunteering with an NGO that runs schools and is helping them build teacher competence.
Lisa Doid
- Lisa tutors on the Young Learner and Very Young Learner courses.
- She has worked in ELT since 2006 as a teacher, teacher trainer, academic manager and school owner.
- She is passionate about CPD and has a particular interest in helping teachers develop their skills in teaching children and teenagers.

Lisa Philips

Louisa Cristo
- Louisa has been working as a teacher, trainer, and manager for almost twenty years.
- She’s worked in the States, the UK, Portugal, and Spain where she is currently based.
- She has been published in English teaching journals and has spoken at several conferences around the globe.
- She is currently a DoS, teacher trainer, and tutor on the IHWO OTTI DoS course.
- When she is not working, Louisa writes poetry, paints, composes music, and travels with her husband!
Lucie Cotterill
- Lucie began her teaching career in 2002, before taking her DELTA in 2005 and moving into educational management.
- She became the IHWO DOS Community Coordinator in January 2020, a role she loves as it enables her to interact with, and learn from, the talented IH educational managers.
- Her areas of interest include educational management, particularly feedback and the learning organisation, and technology and she has spoken at many conferences on these topics.
- In her free time, Lucie loves eating nice food in the Southern Italian sun, watching stand-up comedy and solving brainteasers.
Melissa Owen
- Melissa has been a teacher since 2001, teaching VYLs, YLs, teens, and adults of every level.
- Over the past five years, she has been an online teacher, specialising in the IH VYL and IH OCYLT courses, and is an occasional materials writer.
- She has completed her CELTA, DELTA, IH VYL, IHCYLT, and IHCOLT with International House.
Nick Havard
- Working in ELT since 2005.
- CELTA and IELTS courses, both face-to-face and online.
- Worked for International House in Poland, Italy and Thailand, as well as other schools around the world.
- He enjoys working in CPD, particularly with newly-qualified teachers.

Paula de Nagy
- Paula has been in the ELT teaching world since 1982, starting as a teacher, then part-owner of a school where she gained academic management experience.
- She joined IH where she worked as a DOS and teacher trainer, spending much of her time working on CELTA, DELTA and YL courses.
- She has been involved with OTTI since its early days and has both trained and written materials for the YL, CAM, DOS and TT courses.
- Currently she is a freelance trainer, and also assesses for Cambridge.
Xana de Nagy
- Xana has been teaching since 1984, taking her DTEFLA in 1987 and moving to teacher training since 1990.
- For IH OTTI, she tutors on IHCYLT, IHOCYLT and IHCAM.
- Much of her time is spent working on CELTA and training YL teachers, a field she is very passionate about.
- She has always been interested in teaching children and did her MSc in TEYL. Xana has worked in the state school sector in Portugal, training teachers to teach English to children, including VYLs, YLs and teens.
Zorica Kovacevic
- Zorica has many years of experience in teacher training and holds an MA in ELT Methodology.
- She works on CELTA, and for OTTI, the IHC and DOS courses.
- Her main fields of interest are learning as a process, learner autonomy, action research to improve learning and teaching, teacher development, and curriculum and syllabus design.
- When she’s not working, Zorica enjoys long walks by the River Danube, doing yoga and meditating. And – she loves cakes.
