IH Quito started in 2016 and currently has around 50 students. They currently have one full time teacher, five part-time teachers, a Director of Studies, a Center Manager, IELTS and exam supervisors, and administrative staff. It is a small school that is experiencing rapid growth, particularly in the Young Learner’s program, but additionally in IELTS and Cambridge exam preparation courses. They anticipate that this will continue, due to increasing demand for TEFL in Ecuador writ large, and also due to increased community awareness of the school.

Life in and around Quito
The school is located in the Central North of Quito, next to a large commercial district. Also located close to our school is Parque Metropolitano- a vast, tranquil forest preserve, and one of the largest parks in South America. Quito is a charming city in the Ecuadorian Andes, with a gorgeous colonial district. Teachers that are lovers of nature and hiking will have an abundance of places to explore, most of which are no more than an hour from your apartment. Staff hikes and outdoor activities on the weekend have become a regular activity at the school.
