IH Cadiz

Cadiz, Spain

We are a small school and we like to think of ourselves as a little family! Our director is Francisco Herrera and the director of studies for foreign languages is Charlie Cranmer.

We have been open for 12 years, located between the old and new towns.

The majority of our students are young learners or teen students, so CELTA trainees will experience a typical environment in a languages school.

Life in and around Cadiz

Cadiz is a historic port city, in the Andalucia region of southwestern Spain.

With strong naval connections, past and present, visitors can explore the many watchtowers that were traditionally used for spotting ships.

Good places to explore in the old town are the 8th Century Cathedral, and the old town's many squares. You can still find some sections of the old city walls.

If you like the sea. there are 4 main ones in both the old and new towns.

Andalucia is a region full of treasures, so for people wanting to explore a little further afiled, interesting places are Vejer, Bolonia, Conil, Jerez, Sevilla or Cordoba.

Studying at IH Cadiz

If you are flying into Cadiz, Jerez is the closest airport, but you may find more flights to Seville.

Cadiz has a train and bus station with regular connections to Jerez and Sevilla.

Cadiz is a very small place so you can reach our school on foot from anywhere in the city. Otherwise there are regular busses that travel down the main avenue which has bus stops around 4 minutes from our school.

There is a café on the corner opposite the school and also on the main avenue.
There are two supermarkets on the same street, Aldi and Carrefour - as well as plentiful local markets around the town.
