Our conveniently located school is just 15-minutes walking distance from the downtown area and it has access to the main transport links, avenues and highways to get to the main tourist attractions.

There are 8 spacious, bright, modern classrooms with free Wi-Fi, and a lovely garden where students can study or socialise in their free time.

IH Querétaro is an authorised Exam English Centre from the University of Cambridge and an authorised Exam Spanish Centre from Instituto Cervantes, and an online IELTS centre. It delivers a lot of exams both in the city and in the whole state. There are also English and Spanish classes, young learners classes, and it is currently launching a University programme for teacher training.

One of the most impressive things about the school are the IH Queretaro Values - Customer Service, Integrity, Improvement, Adaptability and Team Spirit. These really do create a positive working environment. Teachers benefit from the “Legendary Teacher” programme as well!

Life in and around Querétaro

Querétaro is a vibrant and dynamic city with a historical downtown area, which is a UNESCO world heritage site. At every turn there are beautiful churches, historical sites and monuments like the Cerro de las Campanas or the famous Aqueduct, boutique hotels, museums and charming well-kept gardens and plazas. The City of Querétaro is also close to many popular travel destinations that are considered “Magical towns” such as Peña de Bernal, Cadereyta de Montes, San Miguel de Allende and Tequisquiapan, where students can easily spend the day exploring, and learning about local culture.

In Tequisquiapan in the spring, for example, the International Festival of Wine and Cheese is celebrated and offers visitors the chance to sample a wide range of Mexican wines and cheeses, and enjoy a rich variety of entertainment events.

Querétaro is also close to other popular cities and states such as Guadalajara (347km / 4h); Guanajuato (123km / 90min), a colonial city of legends; and Michoacán (263km / 180min), famous for the spectacular views of the annual Monarch butterfly migration.
