Essential Requirements
- You must have a CELTA, Trinity TESOL, or equivalent initial teaching qualification
- You must have a degree (e.g. BA, BSc)
- Experience of teaching YL is preferable
Job Description
A teacher is expected to teach both adults and young learners. Teachers get full support from the academic management team. Exam classes is another possibility. Maximum number of students in class is 10, but normally it's between 6 and 8. Classrooms are equipped with computers and projectors with a potential of using online materials. IH Tbilisi can arrange email or online communication with our ex-pat teachers if a potential teacher wishes so. All teachers at IH Tbilisi are qualified to CELTA or DELTA, so please join our professional team in September.
Since English has already become the second language in Georgia, the number of students willing to learn English is steadily increasing. Ex-pat teachers are particularly respected. Statistics over the last 30 years state that on average ex-pat teachers stay 3 years with IH Tbilisi.
